Aqua-Computer airplex radical 4/480 is a high-capacity liquid-cooling radiator for PC water-cooling loops, built from aluminium, copper and stainless steel. With overall dimensions of 520 × 140 × 73 mm, the radiator provides dense fin and channel arrays for effective heat dissipation in desktops and workstations. The airplex radical design follows a no-weld production method so the coolant contacts only seals, Delrin, copper and stainless steel, reducing the risk of internal residues and preserving thermal performance. Threaded nickel-plated brass inserts are integrated into the mounting system to simplify fan alignment and reduce the risk of damage from overly long screws; inserts can be inverted for a flush installation without fans.

How to use

Install the radiator in the PC chassis where airflow is available and compatible with radiator dimensions. Mount fans using the supplied threaded inserts on the side delivered with the product; align the fans so screw threads engage the inserts and tighten screws to manufacturer-recommended torque to avoid over-tightening. If installing without fans, invert the inserts to create a near-flat mounting surface. Connect radiator ports to the loop using appropriate fittings and tubing, ensure correct flow direction and fill the loop with compatible coolant. Perform a leak test before powering system components.

Recommendations

Use corrosion-resistant coolant compatible with copper and aluminium components and avoid mixing dissimilar metals in the loop where possible. Use screws of the correct length and thread type; the supplied inserts allow safer screw placement away from fins and tubes.
