Bosch X440 Best for Wood and Paint 10 pz.

The Bosch X440 Best for Wood and Paint sanding belts remove material efficiently from old paint, varnish and wooden surfaces. They use a semi-friable aluminium oxide abrasive grain bonded with fully synthetic resin for wear resistance in heavy-duty sanding. The backing is a robust x-cloth with a high-quality belt joint for strength during extended work, and the electrostatically open-coated grit helps maintain consistent dust removal for continuous sanding. This 10-piece pack is intended for use with belt sanders and is suitable for smoothing feather edges, flush sanding rebates and edges on coated and wooden surfaces.

Advantages

The semi-friable aluminium oxide grain delivers effective material removal on paint, varnish and wood while the open-coating improves dust extraction and reduces clogging. The x-cloth backing and reinforced belt joint increase durability and resistance to tearing during prolonged use. Fully synthetic resin bonding enhances wear resistance under heavy-duty conditions. The 10-piece pack provides spare belts for multiple projects.

How to use

Fit the appropriate belt size to your belt sander following the sander manufacturer’s instructions. Start sanding with light pressure and increase gradually as needed; maintain steady movement along the surface to avoid gouging. Replace belts when abrasive performance decreases or if the backing shows damage. Ensure correct grit selection for the task: coarser grits for heavy material removal and finer grits for smoothing and finishing.

Recommendations

Use appropriate dust extraction or a vacuum while sanding painted or wooden surfaces to maintain the open-coated abrasive’s dust-removal efficiency and reduce airborne particles. Wear suitable personal protective equipment such as dust mask, eye protection and hearing protection during use.
