Case PC Fractal Design Ridge Small Form Factor nero

An uncluttered small form factor case designed to integrate seamlessly into living spaces and daily routines. Ridge evolves the slimline concept to offer a compact 12.6‑liter chassis that supports full‑length GPUs and flexible orientation options while prioritizing accessibility and ventilation.

Advantages

Maximized capability with a minimized footprint: the Ridge case delivers efficient use of internal volume to accommodate powerful components in a compact enclosure. Its ventilated all‑around design and included fans improve cooling potential. The case supports both horizontal and vertical placement, offers easy panel removal for full access to the build, and includes a Type‑C front I/O for modern connectivity.

Key specifications

• Volume: 12.6 liters
• GPU support: up to 335 mm length
• Pre-installed fans: 2 × 140 mm PWM Aspect
• Fan support: 2 × 120/140 mm and 3 × 80 mm
• Drive mounts: four 2.5" mounts included
• Front I/O: 2 × USB 3.0, 1 × USB Type‑C, combined mic/headphone jack
• Front material: fabric panel with CNC machined aluminum frame
• Included accessory: PCIe riser card (PCIe 4.0 or PCIe 3.0 pre‑installed)

How to use

Install components as in a typical small form factor build: mount the motherboard and drives to the included 2.5" mounts, fit the GPU (up to 335 mm) using the pre‑installed PCIe riser card, and connect front I/O cables to the motherboard. Choose horizontal or vertical orientation using the provided feet and remove any side panel for unobstructed access during assembly or maintenance. Ensure the fans are connected to PWM headers and configure fan curves in BIOS or software for optimal cooling.

Recommendations

For balanced thermals and noise, use the pre‑installed 140 mm fans with a moderate PWM profile and avoid blocking ventilated panels. Verify GPU clearance and riser compatibility before purchasing large or custom cooling solutions.
