Connettore in fibra ottica Lanview LVO231283 SC/APC femmina

The Lanview LVO231283 is an SC/APC female fibre optic connector designed for OS2 single-mode fibre. It is suitable for linking installation cables to patch cables and is commonly used in patchboxes and TV-signal installations where an angled APC ferrule is required. The connector is compact and lightweight at approximately 6.7 g and is supplied as a single unit per pack, providing a reliable interface for fibre links with low insertion loss.

Advantages

SC/APC angled ferrule geometry reduces back reflection, improving signal quality for TV and single-mode data applications. The compact SC form factor ensures compatibility with standard SC adapters and patch panels. Lightweight construction makes handling and installation straightforward while maintaining stable optical performance.

Suitable for

• Connecting installation (permanent) fibre to patch cables
• Patchbox and distribution frame terminations
• TV-signal distribution and set-top box connections
• Single-mode OS2 network links requiring APC connectors

How to use

Prepare the fibre end according to accepted single-mode termination procedures and ensure the connector and adapter are clean and free from dust. Insert the prepared fibre end into the SC/APC female connector following the manufacturer’s termination method (polish or pre-terminated cartridge as applicable). After assembly, mate the connector with the corresponding SC/APC male or adapter, taking care to align the keyed housing and avoid excessive bend radius on the fibre.

Recommendations

Use appropriate cleaning tools and inspect the ferrule end-face with a fibre microscope before connection. Maintain minimum bend radius for single-mode fibre and store unused connectors in protective caps to prevent contamination.
