Corda da arrampicata Hummingbird eco dry 9,2 mm, 80 m — Edelrid

The Hummingbird eco dry 9.2 mm, 80 m by Edelrid is a single dynamic climbing rope designed for users who need a slim, lightweight cord for sport routes, gym sessions and alpine objectives. With a 9.2 mm diameter and 80 m length, this rope balances low weight and compactness while retaining the dynamic properties required for belaying, lead climbing and top-roping. The eco dry treatment improves water and dirt repellence, helping maintain handling and performance in damp or dirty conditions.

Advantages

The rope’s slim 9.2 mm diameter reduces weight and pack volume, making it easier to handle on long approaches and multi-pitch climbs. Eco dry treatment on sheath and core provides enhanced resistance to moisture and contamination, which helps preserve mid-term performance and reduces the need for frequent cleaning. Construction and materials deliver a soft handling feel and good knotability while maintaining dynamic elongation and impact force characteristics appropriate for single-rope use.

How to use

Use the rope as a single dynamic rope for belaying a lead climber or for top-roping. Before each use inspect the full length for cuts, abrasion, core exposure or any signs of damage. Tie-in to the harness using appropriate knots and follow established belaying techniques and safety checks. After climbing, allow the rope to dry completely if it has been exposed to moisture; store it away from direct sunlight, chemicals and sharp edges. Follow manufacturer care guidelines for cleaning and maintenance.

Recommendations

For extended rope life, avoid severe edge abrasion, sharp falls on thin sections and prolonged exposure to moisture or contaminants. Use a rope bag during transport, inspect regularly, and retire the rope according to frequency of use and any detected damage.
