Dado rivettato GESIPA 6422144 M5, flangia 7×13,5 mm per spessore lamiera 1,5–4 mm

Blind rivet nut GESIPA 6422144 M5 with a 7×13.5 mm flange provides a captive M5 female thread for thin materials where access is available from one side. Designed for sheet thicknesses from 1.5 to 4 mm, this rivet nut creates a strong, load-bearing threaded anchor in metal or composite panels and is commonly used in assembly, repair and fastening tasks that require a reliable threaded connection in thin-walled structures.

Advantages

This blind rivet nut delivers a secure M5 thread without the need for tapping from both sides, enabling installation where only one-side access is possible. The flange improves load distribution and reduces pull-through risk in softer or thin materials. Its design ensures repeatable, aligned threads and a compact finished profile suited to concealed or space-limited assemblies.

How to use

Drill or punch a correctly sized hole in the workpiece matching the rivet nut manufacturer’s hole recommendation. Insert the blind rivet nut into the hole so the flange sits flush on the material surface. Using a suitable blind rivet nut installation tool, set and deform the body until the nut clamps firmly to the sheet and forms the internal bearing shape. Remove the tool and check that the M5 thread is aligned and secure before fitting bolts or screws.

Recommendations

Choose drill diameter and installation tool mandrel compatible with M5 blind rivet nuts. For thin or soft substrates, ensure the flange bears on a flat, undamaged surface to maximize load distribution. Verify material compatibility and corrosion resistance for the intended environment; where corrosion resistance is required, select a matching rivet nut material or apply appropriate coatings. Torque fasteners to recommended values for M5 threads to avoid overloading the nut or parent material.
