DELOCK Cavo ottico attivo DisplayPort 2.1 8K 60 Hz 40 Gbps 5 m

DELOCK Active Optical Cable DisplayPort 2.1 8K 60 Hz 40 Gbps 5 m is a high‑performance DisplayPort 2.1 cable designed to transmit high-resolution video and audio signals over long distances with minimal signal degradation. The active optical design converts electrical signals to optical and back, enabling stable 8K@60 Hz transmission and up to 40 Gbps effective bandwidth across a 5 meter length. The cable is intended for connections between compatible graphics cards and monitors where reliable, low‑loss transmission is required.

Advantages

The active optical technology reduces electromagnetic interference and signal attenuation typical for long copper runs, while supporting the DisplayPort 2.1 standard for higher bandwidth and advanced video features. At 5 m length the cable maintains support for 8K resolution at 60 Hz and provides a 40 Gbps data channel suitable for high‑resolution displays, professional monitors and multimedia setups. Its plug‑and‑play design requires no external power or adapters when connected to compatible ports.

Suitable for

• Connecting a compatible graphics card to an 8K or high‑resolution monitor over a 5 m distance
• Workstations and professional content‑creation environments requiring accurate video transmission
• Home entertainment systems where long runs without signal loss are needed
• Multi‑monitor setups and displays that use DisplayPort 2.1 features

Key specifications

• Interface: DisplayPort 2.1 active optical cable
• Maximum resolution: up to 8K (7680 × 4320) at 60 Hz
• Bandwidth: up to 40 Gbps
• Length: 5 meters
• Cable type: active optical (signal conversion between electrical and optical)
• Compatibility: supports DisplayPort 2.1 compatible sources and displays

How to use

Connect one end of the DELOCK Active Optical Cable to the DisplayPort output on the graphics card or source device and the other end to the DisplayPort input on the monitor or display. Ensure both devices support DisplayPort 2.1 or are backwards compatible; the actual resolution and refresh rate will depend on the capabilities of the connected equipment. The cable operates without additional drivers—once connected, configure display settings in the operating system or GPU control panel to select the desired resolution and refresh rate.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable away from strong EMI sources and avoid tight bends near the connector ends. Verify that both the source and display firmware and drivers are up to date to ensure full compatibility with DisplayPort 2.1 features. When using high bandwidth modes such as 8K@60 Hz, confirm the GPU and monitor settings match the desired output to prevent downscaling or reduced refresh rates.
