Ginocchiere POC Oseus VPD Knee — nero, materiale elastico

The POC Oseus VPD Knee Black Elastic is a lightweight, flexible knee protector designed for a wide range of mountain biking disciplines. It combines perforated VPD impact foam and a slip-on elastic sleeve to offer certified impact protection while maintaining comfort and pedal freedom. Built-in inner knee patches add protection against strikes from the bike frame, and wide elastic grippers secure the pad without creating pressure points.

Advantages

Certified to EN 1621-1 Level 2, the protector provides a high level of impact protection across a broad temperature range, having been tested at both low and high temperatures. The perforated VPD material improves ventilation and breathability. Its slim, highly flexible design minimises resistance to leg movement for efficient pedalling, while the slip-on construction with wide grippers ensures stable, comfortable fit throughout long rides.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

These knee protectors are slim and focused on impact protection and mobility; they do not provide full-leg or hard-shell coverage. Riders seeking maximum abrasion resistance or heavy-duty shell protection for extreme crash scenarios may prefer pads with a rigid outer layer.

Key specifications

How to use

Slide the elastic sleeve up over the lower leg until the VPD pad covers the kneecap and inner-knee patches sit against the frame side. Ensure the wide grippers rest comfortably on the skin or base layer to prevent slipping. The perforated VPD benefits from body heat to conform to the knee shape; wear during rides where impact protection and unrestricted pedalling are required.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

Use the POC Oseus VPD Knee with a thin base layer for comfort in cool conditions, and on bare skin or lightweight shorts in warm weather. Regularly check grippers and sleeve elasticity for wear and replace if fit becomes loose to maintain protective performance.
