La Sportiva Tarantula scarpa da arrampicata nero/poppy EU 37,5

The Tarantula from La Sportiva redefines what an entry-level climbing shoe can be, blending a forgiving comfort fit with the technical pedigree of a brand trusted on the world’s hardest routes. Unlike stiff, aggressive shoes that punish beginners, this model uses a neutral last and low asymmetry to keep your foot relaxed during long gym sessions, while the unlined leather upper molds to your foot for a truly custom feel. The black upper with poppy accents isn’t just stylish—it signals a shoe built for progression, from your first V0 to your first lead climb.

Highlights

• FriXion RS rubber outsole (5mm) delivers durable grip on both indoor holds and outdoor rock, so you can smear and edge with confidence.
• Hook-and-loop closure system allows quick on/off between burns, keeping you focused on the wall instead of your laces.
• Unlined leather upper stretches to fit your foot like a second skin, reducing hot spots and enhancing sensitivity.
• LaspoFlex 1.8mm midsole provides just enough support for all-day comfort without sacrificing feedback from the rock.
• RL 45 last with a neutral downturn and low asymmetry is ideal for beginners and intermediates, but capable enough for moderate routes.

In daily use

Slip into the Tarantula and you’ll immediately notice the difference: a medium toe box volume that doesn’t crush your toes, a standard heel that stays put without pressure, and moderate ventilation to keep feet dry during long sessions. The slip-lasted construction offers a balance of torsional rigidity and flexibility, making it a reliable choice for everything from gym bouldering to multi-pitch trad. At just 480g per pair (16.9 oz), they’re light enough to clip to your harness for the approach, and the comfort fit means you won’t be desperate to take them off between pitches. Whether you’re working on footwork drills or sending your project, this shoe encourages proper technique without punishing mistakes.
