Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 - Ryzen AI 7 345 / 32 GB / 512 GB SSD / 16" WUXGA / Win 11 Pro / nero

The Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 (type 21Y4, model 21Y4006MGE) is a 16-inch business laptop engineered for professionals who demand strong multitasking performance, robust security and all-day productivity. It combines the AMD Ryzen AI 7 345 processor with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, all framed by a spacious WUXGA display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and an anti-glare matte finish.

Advantages

The AMD Ryzen AI 7 345 (Krackan Point, 4 nm) delivers eight cores and sixteen threads with a boost clock of up to 4.9 GHz, paired with a dedicated XDNA 2 NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS for on-device AI acceleration in video calls, transcription and co-pilot features. Integrated AMD Radeon 860M graphics (RDNA 3.5) drive the crisp 16:10 WUXGA panel and external monitors via HDMI 2.1 or USB4 without a discrete GPU. With 32 GB DDR5-5600 across two SO-DIMM slots — user-upgradeable to 64 GB — the system glides through large spreadsheets, virtualisation and heavy browser workloads. The 400-nit anti-glare IPS panel and 16:10 format provide extra vertical space for documents and code. Security is covered by a fingerprint reader, TPM, webcam privacy shutter and Kensington lock slot, while Wi-Fi 7 and a wired Gigabit Ethernet port ensure reliable connectivity.

Suitable for

• Finance, engineering and administrative professionals running demanding productivity suites and browser-based applications
• Power users who keep many applications, browser tabs or light virtual machines open simultaneously
• Hybrid and remote workers who require clear 1080p video conferencing and a large 16-inch display
• Enterprise fleets needing a durable, serviceable ThinkPad with hardware security and both wired and wireless networking

How to use

Power on, complete Windows 11 Pro setup and enrol your fingerprint in Windows Hello for fast, password-free sign-in. Connect over Wi-Fi 7 or the built-in Gigabit Ethernet port, then attach a docking station, external displays or fast storage via the USB4 USB-C port — which also charges the laptop with the included 65 W adapter.

Recommendations

This configuration ships with a German (QWERTZ) keyboard layout and a German-localised Windows 11 Pro image. For business deployments, enable BitLocker encryption, keep the webcam privacy shutter closed when not in use, and use a USB4 dock to drive multiple external monitors from a single cable. The two SO-DIMM slots make it straightforward to expand memory to 64 GB later.
