OWC Express 1M2 USB4 80Gb/s 8TB NVMe portatile bus-powered

The OWC Express 1M2 is a portable NVMe SSD that delivers blistering USB4 performance up to 80Gb/s, making it one of the fastest bus-powered drives available. With a massive 8TB capacity, it provides ample space for 8K video, massive photo libraries, and demanding creative projects, all in a sleek, fanless aluminum enclosure that fits in your pocket.

The drive is completely bus-powered, requiring no external power adapter, and its passive cooling design ensures silent, reliable operation. Backward compatibility with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.2, and USB 2.0 means it works with virtually any computer, while support for TRIM and UASP maximizes performance and longevity.

Recommendations

For maximum performance, connect to a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 port. Use the drive for active projects to take advantage of its speed, and back up to larger, slower storage for archival. The fanless design is ideal for quiet environments, but ensure adequate airflow when transferring large files for extended periods.
