PowerColor AI PRO R9700S Passive 32GB GDDR6 scheda grafica

Data centers and AI research labs deploying large language models need a graphics card that delivers massive memory bandwidth without the noise of active cooling. The PowerColor AI PRO R9700S Passive 32GB GDDR6 is built for exactly that: a fanless design that relies on server airflow, making it ideal for dense multi-GPU compute nodes where every decibel and watt matters.

Key specifications

• 32GB GDDR6 memory with high bandwidth for AI training and inference
• Passive cooling – no onboard fan, designed for high-airflow server chassis
• Full-height, dual-slot form factor for standard rack servers
• PCIe Gen4 x16 interface for maximum data throughput
• ECC memory support for reliable, error-free computation
• Optimized for multi-GPU scaling in AI and HPC workloads

Why choose it

The R9700S Passive eliminates fan failure points and reduces power draw, lowering total cost of ownership in 24/7 operations. Its 32GB frame buffer holds entire models in memory, slashing PCIe transfers and accelerating training iterations. Built for the rigors of continuous compute, it delivers consistent performance under sustained load.

Ideal use cases

• AI model training and fine-tuning in data centers
• Real-time inference for recommendation engines and NLP
• High-performance computing (HPC) clusters
• Virtualized GPU environments for cloud service providers
• Edge AI servers with constrained thermal budgets

Good to know

This card requires chassis with forced airflow of at least 300 LFM across the heatsink. It is not intended for consumer desktop cases without directed airflow. For optimal performance, pair with a server-grade motherboard and sufficient PCIe power connectors. The passive design enables near-silent operation, making it suitable for noise-sensitive environments.
