Presa Merten MEG2422-8029 CEE 7/3 grigio

The Merten MEG2422-8029 CEE 7/3 Grey socket outlet is a surface-mounted power point designed for installations that require a protected outdoor or semi-exposed connection. It accepts CEE 7/4 (Schuko) compatible plugs and is finished in a neutral grey. The unit is rated for 250 V and 16 A and has an IP44 ingress protection classification, providing basic resistance to dust and splashing water. Its compact footprint — approximately 73 mm wide, 70 mm deep and 83 mm high — makes it suitable for confined mounting locations while maintaining safe electrical performance.

Advantages

The IP44 protection ensures the outlet can be used in environments exposed to moisture and limited dust without special enclosures. Compatibility with CEE 7/4 plug types allows broad use with common European appliances and tools. The 16 A current rating and 250 V voltage rating meet typical requirements for domestic and light-commercial circuits. The grey finish provides a neutral appearance that integrates with industrial and residential settings.

Suitable for

• Outdoor covered terraces and patios where splash protection is needed
• Workshops and garages for power tools and portable equipment
• Garden equipment such as electric lawn mowers and hedge trimmers (when used with local weather protection)
• Temporary power points for events, markets, or maintenance work

Key specifications

• Rated voltage: 250 V
• Rated current: 16 A
• Socket type: CEE 7/3 compatible with CEE 7/4 plugs
• Ingress protection: IP44 (splash and dust protection)
• Colour: Grey
• Dimensions (approx.): 73 mm width × 70 mm depth × 83 mm height

How to use

Mount the socket outlet on a suitable flat surface following local electrical regulations and ensure the power is isolated before connecting conductors. Secure the unit with appropriate fixings and connect line, neutral and earth conductors to the corresponding terminals. After wiring, verify correct terminal tightness and restore power to test the outlet with a compatible CEE 7/4 plug device. Ensure the housing and surrounding installation are positioned so the IP44 protection is effective against expected exposure to splashes and dust.

Recommendations

For safe and reliable operation, have the installation performed or inspected by a qualified electrician, especially in outdoor or damp locations. Use weather-appropriate covers or mounting positions if the outlet will be frequently exposed to rain. Do not exceed the 16 A rating and avoid connecting high inrush devices without assessing circuit protection.
