Prolunga AS Schwabe 60205, 16 A, rossa, 5 m

Extension cable AS Schwabe 60205, 16 A, red, 5 m is a 5-metre power lead designed to extend a mains supply where a 16 A rating is required. The cable features a red outer jacket for high visibility and is intended for supplying power to tools, appliances and equipment in workshop, construction and home project settings. It is suitable for indoor use and typical outdoor applications where a 16 A connection and a visible cable colour are needed.

Advantages

The red jacket improves visibility to reduce trip hazards and make cable routing easier to identify. The 16 A rating supports a wide range of domestic and light industrial devices that require higher current than standard 10 A leads. A 5 m length offers a balance between reach and manageable coil size for storage and transport. The cable is produced by AS Schwabe and designed for straightforward extension of mains power without requiring modification.

How to use

Connect the extension cable to a compatible 16 A mains outlet and plug the device or tool into the cable’s socket. Ensure both the supply socket and the connected device are switched off before making connections. Route the cable so it does not pass through sharp edges, hot surfaces or standing water, and avoid placing heavy loads on the cable. After use, coil the cable neatly and store it in a dry place to prolong service life.

Recommendations

Verify that the combined current draw of connected devices does not exceed 16 A. For extended outdoor exposure or heavy-duty industrial environments, consider cable covers or a purpose-designed industrial extension lead. Inspect the cable regularly for cuts, damage to the outer jacket, or signs of overheating and replace if any defects are found.
