Scarpa Mescalito GTX scarpe da avvicinamento - shark/azure Taglia: 46_5

The Scarpa Mescalito GTX redefines the approach shoe category by merging a robust 1.8mm water-resistant suede upper with a precise, board-lasted fit and GORE-TEX Extended Comfort waterproofing. Unlike typical approach shoes that compromise on either climbing sensitivity or hiking support, the Mescalito GTX delivers both: the torsional rigidity of a light hiking boot and the edging precision of a climbing shoe. This makes it the go-to choice for technical terrain, via ferrata, scrambling, and long approaches in wet, unpredictable conditions.

Highlights

• GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining keeps feet dry while maintaining breathability
• Vibram® Dynamis LB outsole with Lite Base technology reduces weight without sacrificing grip
• Full rubber rand and TPU heel insert provide abrasion resistance and stability on rock
• Dual-density EVA midsole cushions impacts while retaining torsional rigidity for edging
• Ortholite® footbed adds long-lasting comfort and moisture management
• Extended lacing system allows precise volume adjustment for a secure, performance fit

In daily use

From damp morning approaches to exposed scrambles, the Mescalito GTX excels where versatility matters. The water-resistant suede upper resists abrasion, while the GORE-TEX membrane shrugs off rain and puddles. The Vibram outsole's climbing zone at the toe and braking heel give confidence on slabs and descents, and the board-lasted construction provides a stable platform for carrying light loads. The BNN last offers a medium-volume fit that suits most foot shapes, and the resoleable design extends the shoe's lifespan well beyond typical approach footwear.
