Scarpe da trekking Scarpa ZODIAC GTX antracite 490 g

The Scarpa ZODIAC GTX Anthracite hiking boots weigh approximately 490 g and are engineered for hikers who need a lightweight, waterproof and supportive boot for varied terrain. The upper is made from water-repellent Perwanger leather with integrated 37.5® technology to help regulate foot temperature. The Sock-Fit XT construction wraps the foot like a sock for close fit and comfort, while a protective rubber rand shields the toe. GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining provides reliable waterproofing and breathability. The ABS Precision sole with Bascula Adaptive System and a MONT-VIBRAM compound outsole delivers controlled traction, balanced foot placement and targeted flexing on irregular ground.

Advantages

These boots combine lightweight construction with robust materials: a Perwanger leather upper treated for water repellency and thermal management, and a GORE-TEX membrane for full waterproof protection. The Sock-Fit XT construction improves fit and reduces internal movement, while extended lacing with metal eyelets allows precise adjustment from forefoot to ankle. The Bascula Adaptive System in the ABS Precision sole manages balance and promotes stable ground contact, and the MONT-VIBRAM compound maintains grip across mixed surfaces, including cold and uneven conditions.

Suitable for

• Day hikes and long-distance trekking on mixed terrain
• Trail approaches and technical paths requiring precise foot placement
• Wet and changeable weather conditions where waterproofing is needed
• Hikers seeking a lightweight boot with thermal regulation

How to use

Select the correct size and tighten the extended lacing from toe to ankle to achieve an even, secure fit without pressure points. Use the Sock-Fit XT system to position the foot inside the boot so the tongue and flex point conform to your instep. When starting a hike, check that the heel is stable and adjust lacing as needed for uphill or downhill sections. After use in wet conditions, dry boots at room temperature away from direct heat sources and clean off debris before storage to maintain leather and membrane performance.

Recommendations

For optimum performance, pair the Scarpa ZODIAC GTX with moisture-wicking socks and adjust lacing for terrain: firmer for steep ascents and slightly looser for long flats. Regularly treat the Perwanger leather with products recommended for water-repellent leathers and inspect the tread for wear to ensure consistent grip.
