Sensore acqua AEOTEC Water Sensor 7 Z-Wave Plus rilevatore di perdite AEOEZWA018

AEOTEC Water Sensor 7 Z-Wave Plus leak detector is a wireless water and moisture sensor designed to detect the presence of water and changes in humidity. Compatible with Z-Wave Plus networks, it reports leak events and moisture levels to a connected smart home controller, enabling automated alerts and actions to reduce the risk of water damage in vulnerable areas such as basements, laundry rooms and under sinks.

Advantages

The device provides fast and reliable water detection with low power consumption and secure Z-Wave Plus communication. Its compact form factor allows placement in tight spaces near potential leak sources, while the ability to report both contact with water and changes in moisture levels supports early detection. Integration with common Z-Wave controllers enables automated responses such as sending notifications or triggering shutoff valves and pumps.

Suitable for

• Basements and crawl spaces prone to flooding
• Areas under sinks, near dishwashers and washing machines
• Boiler rooms and water heaters
• Utility rooms and laundry areas
• Smart home setups requiring leak detection and automation

Key specifications

• Wireless protocol: Z-Wave Plus for secure, mesh-network communication
• Sensing capabilities: direct water contact detection and ambient moisture monitoring
• Power: battery-operated for flexible placement without wiring
• Form factor: compact, low-profile housing for placement in confined spaces
• Event reporting: real-time leak and moisture alerts to a Z-Wave controller

How to use

Place the AEOTEC Water Sensor 7 on a flat surface at the location where leaks are most likely to occur, such as beside appliances, near drain lines or under sinks. Include the device into your Z-Wave Plus network following your controller’s inclusion procedure. Adjust device placement and orientation so the sensing contacts are positioned to detect water contact. Monitor device status and configure alerts, automations or linked devices (for example, shutoff valves) via the smart home controller interface.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, test the sensor after installation and periodically check battery level from your Z-Wave controller. Avoid placing the sensor where it may be frequently submerged or where debris could obstruct the sensing contacts. Combine the sensor with automated actions—such as notifications or valve control—to enable rapid response when a leak is detected.
