Server rack MITAC R2520G6U2XD case 2U con alloggiamenti hot-swap per SSD da 2,5 pollici

The MITAC R2520G6U2XD 2U chassis is a rack-mount server enclosure engineered for enterprise and data center environments where dense storage, serviceability and efficient rack utilization are priorities. This chassis provides front-accessible hot-swap bays for 2.5" SSDs, a standard 2U height for conventional server racks, and a layout that supports high-density storage and straightforward maintenance without the need to power down the system for drive replacement.

Advantages

The chassis offers hot-swap 2.5" SSD bays that allow rapid drive replacement and reduce system downtime during maintenance. Its 2U form factor balances capacity and rack density, making it suitable for multi-node racks. The design emphasizes tool-less access to drive bays and modularity to simplify service procedures and accelerate hardware swaps. Robust construction and optimized internal layout improve cooling and cable routing in populated rack environments.

Suitable for

• Storage-dense deployments and capacity-optimized servers
• Virtualization hosts and hyper-converged infrastructure
• Database servers requiring fast SSD storage and high availability
• Rack installations in data centers, co-location facilities and enterprise server rooms

Key specifications

• Form factor: 2U rack-mount chassis compatible with standard 19-inch racks
• Drive bays: Front-accessible hot-swap bays for 2.5" SSDs
• Serviceability: Hot-swap capability for drive maintenance without system shutdown
• Cooling: Designed layout for efficient airflow and fan placement to support populated configurations
• Maintenance access: Front-access drive replacement and tool-less bay mechanisms where applicable
• Expansion: Internal space and mounting provisions for additional drive cages and server components common to 2U enclosures

How to use

Install the chassis into a standard 19-inch rack using appropriate rails or mounting brackets, ensuring the unit is secured to support rack load. Populate the front hot-swap 2.5" SSD bays with compatible drives and connect internal power and data cables according to the host system or backplane documentation. During operation, replace drives by unlocking and pulling the hot-swap tray, inserting the new 2.5" SSD, and ensuring the drive is fully latched before resuming normal operation. Follow your server controller or RAID management utility for any necessary drive initialization or rebuild procedures.

Recommendations

Use enterprise-grade 2.5" SSDs that match the server controller's supported interface and capacity limits. Maintain proper rack airflow by following recommended blanking panels and ensuring unobstructed front-to-rear airflow paths. Before performing drive swaps, confirm that the host system has prepared the drive for removal through the OS or RAID controller to avoid data loss.
