Cavo PS/2 S/CONN 78106-2 1,8 m Mini-DIN 6 poli bianco

The S/CONN 78106-2 PS/2 cable is a 1.8 m connection lead with 6-pin Mini-DIN plugs on both ends, designed for direct wired links between PS/2-compatible devices such as keyboards and desktop computers. Its white jacket provides a neutral appearance for office or home setups while the compact Mini-DIN connectors support the standard PS/2 signalling used for low-speed peripheral input devices.

Advantages

The cable delivers a straightforward, wired PS/2 interface with fixed 6-pin Mini-DIN terminations that ensure correct pin alignment and a stable physical connection. At 1.8 m length it offers sufficient reach for most desktop arrangements without excess slack. The white insulation simplifies integration into light-colored workspaces and helps keep visible cabling consistent. The simple construction is compatible with legacy PS/2 ports and typical keyboard/mouse peripherals that use the 6-pin Mini-DIN form factor.

Suitable for

• Connecting PS/2 keyboards to desktop computers
• Linking PS/2 mice to compatible host devices
• Replacing worn or damaged PS/2 keyboard/mouse cables
• Use in office or home setups where a 1.8 m cable length is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1.8 meters
• Connector type (both ends): 6-pin Mini-DIN (PS/2)
• Colour: white
• Intended signal type: PS/2 peripheral data (keyboard/mouse)

How to use

Plug one 6-pin Mini-DIN connector into the PS/2 port of the keyboard or mouse and insert the other connector into the corresponding PS/2 port on the computer. Ensure correct orientation of the keyed Mini-DIN plug before seating to avoid bending pins. After connection, power on the computer if required; most PS/2 devices are detected during system boot. For replacement, disconnect the old cable from both devices before fitting this cable to avoid accidental strain or damage.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and high-tension points near the connectors. Keep the connector ends free of debris and avoid unplugging while the host device is transmitting if possible. Use the 1.8 m length to position peripherals ergonomically while maintaining tidy cable management in the workspace.
