Punta Smart SDS‑Max 65 x 600 mm — foratura a percussione / demolizione

Smart SDS‑Max drill bit 65 x 600 mm is a percussion and demolition drill designed for heavy-duty work in concrete and masonry. Built for use with SDS‑Max rotary hammers, this bit delivers a 65 mm drilling diameter and 600 mm overall length to reach deep anchor points, create through-holes, or perform controlled breakout and demolition in structural elements. The geometry and material selection are intended for performance in hammering and rotation modes typical for professional construction and renovation tasks.

Advantages

The SDS‑Max shank ensures secure engagement with compatible rotary hammers and fast tool changes. A 65 mm cutting diameter provides large, clean holes with reduced wandering, while the 600 mm length allows access to recessed or thick substrates without extensions. The percussion-oriented tip and flute profile support efficient rubble removal during drilling and reduce heat build-up under load. The design balances durability and cutting speed for repeated use under professional site conditions.

How to use

Select a rotary hammer with an SDS‑Max chuck and an impact energy rating suitable for large-diameter masonry drilling. Mark the drilling point and ensure the work area is clear of utilities and rebar where possible. Start drilling at low speed to establish a guide, then apply steady pressure and use the hammer mode at the recommended setting for your tool. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and debris from the hole and avoid excessive side pressure that can cause breakage or premature wear. For deep holes, check progress and cooling; allow the bit to clear cuttings frequently to maintain drilling efficiency.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, and dust extraction or respiratory protection when drilling into concrete. Match the bit to a rotary hammer with sufficient power and hammer energy for 65 mm diameter drilling. When encountering reinforcing bars, reduce speed and feed rate or use a dedicated rebar-cutting accessory. Store the drill bit in a dry place and inspect for wear before each use; replace if the tip or flutes are damaged to maintain safe and efficient operation.
