Smerigliatrice diritta pneumatica Metabo DG 700-90

Metabo DG 700-90 is a pneumatic straight grinder engineered for professional metalworking and surface finishing. As an air-powered straight grinder it delivers steady rotary motion suitable for grinding, deburring and light polishing tasks in workshops and industrial environments. Designed to accept standard straight grinder attachments, this tool provides consistent performance for routine maintenance, fabrication and repair applications.

Advantages

The pneumatic drive design reduces heat buildup and provides constant torque under load, making the Metabo DG 700-90 suitable for extended use. Its straight form factor allows access to narrow or confined areas while maintaining user control. The tool’s simple mechanical construction ensures durability and ease of service, and compatibility with common straight grinder accessories offers flexibility for a range of metalworking operations.

Suitable for

• Grinding and stock removal on steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals
• Deburring edges after cutting, punching or machining
• Surface finishing and light polishing with appropriate attachments
• Maintenance and repair tasks in workshops and industrial settings

Key specifications

• Drive type: pneumatic (air-powered) straight grinder
• Tool shape: inline/straight for access to confined areas
• Typical applications: grinding, deburring, polishing
• Attachment compatibility: standard straight grinder accessories (collet or chuck-type holders)
• Designed for continuous professional use in workshop and industrial environments

How to use

Connect the Metabo DG 700-90 to a compressed air supply meeting the tool’s required pressure and flow specifications. Secure the chosen grinding or polishing attachment in the collet or holder according to the manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring proper seating and tightening. Hold the tool firmly with both hands where possible, engage the air supply and apply steady, even pressure to the workpiece; avoid excessive force that could overload the tool or damage the surface. Allow the grinder to reach full speed before contacting the material and move the tool smoothly along the work area to achieve an even finish. After use, disconnect the air supply, release residual pressure, and store the tool in a clean, dry location.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves. Ensure an adequate air supply with proper filtration and lubrication to maintain performance and prolong tool life. Select abrasive grades and attachments that match the material and task to optimize removal rate and surface quality.
