Taglierino BAHCO SB-2446 con impugnatura a 2 componenti nero/arancione, lunghezza 220 mm

BAHCO SB-2446 is a utility knife with a two-component black and orange handle and a total length of 220 mm. Designed for general cutting tasks, the tool offers a comfortable grip and controlled handling for workshop, construction and household work where precise, reliable cutting is required.

Advantages

The two-component handle combines a hard core for structural support with a softer overmould for improved grip and reduced hand fatigue. The 220 mm overall length gives a balanced feel and extended reach compared with smaller knives. The design allows for secure handling during repetitive cutting and offers compatibility with standard snap-off or replaceable blades suitable for a range of materials.

Suitable for

• Cutting cardboard, paper and packaging materials
• Trimming carpet, linoleum and insulation
• Opening boxes and removing seals in workshop and warehouse environments
• Light construction and DIY tasks requiring controlled scoring and slicing

Key specifications

• Total length: 220 mm
• Handle: two-component (soft grip over hard core) in black and orange
• Blade type: compatible with standard utility blades (snap-off or replaceable)
• Ergonomics: textured soft grip areas for improved control
• Use environment: workshop, construction site, household

How to use

Hold the BAHCO SB-2446 by the handle with a firm but comfortable grip, aligning the blade with the cutting line. Extend or fit an appropriate utility blade according to the manufacturer instructions for the blade type in use. Apply steady, controlled pressure and cut away from the body. Replace dull blades promptly and ensure the blade is securely locked before use. Keep fingers clear of the cutting path and store the knife with the blade retracted or protected.

Recommendations

Use blades suited to the material being cut and change blades regularly to maintain clean, precise cuts. For extended or heavy-duty cutting, consider using purpose-specific blades and appropriate personal protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves and eye protection.
