Tefal Express Essential SV6116 2200 W 1,4 L blu, bianco

Tefal Express Essential SV6116 is a steam generator iron designed for efficient domestic ironing. With 2200 W power, up to 5 bar steam pressure and a 110 g/min steam boost, the unit provides strong continuous and burst steam for removing stubborn creases. The iron includes a 1.4 L detachable water tank for longer ironing sessions, a vertical steam function for steaming hanging garments and curtains, and a compact lightweight design weighing approximately 1.3 kg. A 1.6 m combined cord and hose ensures flexible movement while ironing at home.

Advantages

The combination of high power and pressurised steam ensures rapid heat-up and consistent steam output for effective wrinkle removal across many fabric types. The generous 1.4 L water tank reduces the frequency of refills, supporting extended ironing tasks. The vertical steam function allows treatment of hanging items without an ironing board. Despite its steam performance, the unit remains compact and relatively lightweight for easier handling and storage.

How to use

Fill the 1.4 L water tank with clean tap water, secure it in place and switch on the unit. Wait until the indicator shows the appliance is ready, then select the appropriate steam setting for the fabric being ironed. Use continuous steam and glide the soleplate over garments in smooth motions; apply steam boost for stubborn creases or thicker materials. For vertical steaming, hold the iron upright at a short distance from the garment and activate the steam function to refresh hanging items. Empty the tank and follow manufacturer care instructions after use to prevent scale build-up.

Recommendations

Use demineralised or filtered water if your local water supply is hard to reduce limescale formation. Sort garments by fabric type and temperature requirements before ironing, and test a small area when using a high steam setting on delicate fabrics. Allow the unit to cool before storing and perform regular descaling according to usage intensity to maintain steam performance.
