Trimmer per erba Greenworks GD60BCB

The Greenworks GD60BCB is a 60V battery-operated string trimmer and brush cutter combining a 40 cm cutting width with a lightweight design. It uses a dual-line nylon cutting head with auto bump feed and offers a brushless motor for efficient battery use and reduced maintenance. With an ergonomic bike-style handle, variable speed trigger and a split shaft for compact storage, the GD60BCB is designed for trimming grass edges and tackling thicker growth when fitted with an optional metal blade. The unit is offered in black, green and silver and weighs 7.8 kg, making it easier to maneuver across medium to large gardens without the emissions or vibration of petrol equipment.

Advantages

The brushless motor and 60V battery deliver strong cutting performance and extended runtimes compared with brushed alternatives, while the dual-speed control lets you balance power and battery life. The auto bump-feed nylon head simplifies line advancement during work, and the ergonomic bike handle with adjustable positioning improves user control and reduces fatigue during prolonged use. The split shaft design enables compact storage and transport.

Suitable for

• Edge trimming of lawns and around flowerbeds
• General grass cutting in medium to large residential gardens
• Light brush cutting and overgrowth clearance with the metal blade fitted
• Maintenance of paths, driveways and fence lines

How to use

Fit the appropriate cutting head for the task: use the dual-line nylon head for regular grass trimming and the metal blade for heavier vegetation. Adjust the bike handle to a comfortable height and position, hold the trimmer with both hands and operate the variable speed trigger to select required power. For nylon head line advancement, gently tap the head on the ground while the trimmer is running to release more line via the auto bump-feed. Follow battery manufacturer guidance for charging and cooling between extended runs.

Recommendations

Use the lower speed setting when trimming fine grass to extend battery runtime and reduce wear on the cutting head; switch to high speed or fit the metal blade for denser or woody growth. Always wear appropriate protective equipment, check the cutting attachment before each use and store the split shaft unit in a dry place after cleaning.
