ACT cavo di conversione DisplayPort maschio a DVI maschio 3,00 m

The ACT DisplayPort to DVI Cable AK3997 3m is a 3-meter video conversion cable with a DisplayPort male connector on one end and a DVI-D male connector on the other. It enables connection of a DisplayPort-equipped source such as a PC graphics card or laptop docking station to a monitor, projector or display with a DVI input. The cable is designed to provide reliable digital video transmission for typical home and office applications where a DisplayPort output must be converted to a DVI-D input.

Advantages

This cable offers a straightforward, single‑cable solution for DisplayPort to DVI connections without requiring external power or adapters. At 3 meters length it combines reach and flexibility for desktop, meeting room or multimedia setups. The DVI-D connection preserves digital video signal quality while the DisplayPort end supports source devices with DisplayPort output. The design reduces cable clutter by replacing multiple adapters and provides consistent signal performance for resolutions supported by DVI-D.

Suitable for

• Connecting a PC or laptop with DisplayPort output to a monitor with DVI-D input
• Linking a docking station or graphics card to a DVI-equipped projector
• Home office and corporate workstation video setups
• Temporary AV setups in meeting rooms or classrooms

Key specifications

• Cable type: DisplayPort male to DVI-D male
• Length: 3 meters
• Signal type: Digital video (single-link DVI-D)
• Compatible with standard DisplayPort outputs and DVI-D inputs
• Connector gender: male to male

How to use

Ensure both source and display are powered off or in a safe state before connecting. Insert the DisplayPort connector into the DisplayPort output of the source device and the DVI-D connector into the DVI input of the monitor or projector. Power on the display and source device; the operating system or display settings should detect the external display automatically. Adjust resolution and display mode through your system's display settings to match the capabilities of the DVI monitor.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable for digital video only and avoid forcing connectors into ports. Verify the monitor's maximum supported resolution for single‑link DVI-D and set the source output accordingly. For long-term installations where physical strain or frequent movement is expected, consider securing cable routing to prevent connector stress.
