ACT cavo ottico attivo DisplayPort 1.4 8K 30 metri con connettore rimovibile

The ACT Active Optical Cable DisplayPort 1.4 ACT AK4154 30m is an ultra-slim hybrid DisplayPort cable that combines copper and optical fiber to deliver high-bandwidth video and audio over long distances. With a 30 m length and a 4.5 mm diameter, this AOC supports DisplayPort 1.4 features and is designed for installations where signal integrity and flexible routing are required. The cable includes a detachable DisplayPort plug to allow easy pulling through conduits and plenum spaces and is supplied on a coil for convenience.

Advantages

This Active Optical Cable transmits 8K video (7680x4320) at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma and a 32.4 Gbps bandwidth, while also supporting HDR, HDCP 2.2, EDID, DDC and CEC. Its hybrid construction—copper conductors with Kevlar-protected fiber and aluminium foil shielding—reduces RFI/EMI and preserves audio/video quality over long runs. The detachable connector and slim, flexible jacket simplify installation in confined spaces and allow safe routing through conduits.

Suitable for

• Professional AV installations and conference rooms
• Home theater systems requiring long cable runs
• Digital signage and control rooms
• Environments with limited conduit/plenum space
• Setups demanding HDR and multi-channel audio support

How to use

Before installation, identify the source and display ends using the cable markings. If routing through conduits or plenum spaces, detach the plug from the cable, pull the slim, flexible cable through the required path, then reattach the detachable DisplayPort plug securely to each end. Connect the marked source end to the computer or player and the display end to the monitor, projector or AV receiver. Ensure both devices are powered off while connecting and power them on after connections are secure. Verify display settings to enable 8K @ 60 Hz and HDR where supported.

Recommendations

Use the detachable connector only for installation; ensure the plug is fully seated and locked before powering devices. Avoid sharp bends beyond the cable's bend radius and protect the cable from crushing. For reliable 8K performance, confirm source and display compatibility with DisplayPort 1.4 features and enable HDCP and HDR settings in device menus when required.
