ACT Marrone 0,5 metri LSZH U/FTP CAT6A cavo patch slimline datacenter senza linguetta con connettori RJ45

ACT Brown 0.5m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A Patch Cable Snagless RJ45 is a slimline datacenter patch cord with a 0.5 m length, LSZH jacket and U/FTP shielding. The cable uses slim construction (approximately 3.8 mm diameter) compared with regular CAT6A cords, enabling improved cable routing and airflow in server racks and network cabinets. Snagless RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts provide reliable mating and reduced wear for frequent patching.

Advantages

The slim 3.8 mm diameter reduces occupied space and lowers required bend radius, which helps maintain airflow in densely populated racks. U/FTP shielding offers protection against pair-to-pair crosstalk. The LSZH jacket minimizes hazardous smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts improve conductivity and corrosion resistance for stable high-speed transmission.

Suitable for

• Data center and server rack horizontal patching
• High-density network cabinets and patch panels
• Short-distance connections between switches and servers (0.5 m)
• Environments where low-smoke, halogen-free materials are required

Key specifications

• Length: 0.5 m
• Standard: CAT6A U/FTP
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Connector: RJ-45 to RJ-45, snagless
• Colour: Brown
• Brand / MPN / EAN: ACT / DC7200 / 8716065509854

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the switch or patch panel port and the other plug to the server or network device port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages. Route the cable following rack layout and bend limitations; the slimline cord allows tighter cable runs but follow device and rack manufacturer bend-radius guidance. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and physical damage to the cable and connectors.

Recommendations

Although ISO/IEC and TIA standards typically specify 22–26 AWG for patch cords, slimline CAT6A cables with thinner conductors (for example 32 AWG) can be used; these cables show higher attenuation at higher frequencies. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, ACT advises a maximum bundle size of 24 slimline cables to limit temperature rise. ANSI TSB-184-A restricts the maximum temperature increase to less than 15 °C above ambient for the center cable in a bundle.
