Adattatore in fibra ottica SC ShiverPeaks 07-60063 viola multimodale

The ShiverPeaks SC fibre optic adapter in violet is designed for multi-mode connections where precise alignment and reliable optical performance are required. Supplied as a single piece, this adapter provides a compact interface to join SC-terminated multi-mode fibres in patch panels, enclosures, or equipment housings. Its standardized SC form factor ensures compatibility with SC connectors and allows easy insertion and removal while maintaining consistent optical path alignment.

Advantages

This SC multi-mode adapter offers stable mechanical alignment and low insertion loss for short-range optical links. The colour-coded violet housing helps identify the fibre type or network segment quickly, improving workplace organisation and reducing connection errors. Its single-piece design simplifies stocking and deployment for installers and technicians working in data centres, telecom closets, or laboratory environments.

Suitable for

• Joining SC-terminated multi-mode fibre patch cords
• Use in patch panels and fibre distribution frames
• Temporary or permanent connections in campus and enterprise networks
• AV, CCTV and short-haul communication links using multi-mode fibre

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC (Standard Connector) compatible adapter
• Fibre type: Multi-mode fibre support
• Colour: Violet housing for visual identification
• Packaging: Single piece per pack
• Form factor: Simplex adapter for single-fibre connection

How to use

To use the adapter, align the SC connectors of the two multi-mode patch cords and insert each connector into the adapter until a secure click is felt. Ensure the fibre connectors are clean and free of dust or debris before mating to minimise insertion loss and back-reflection. For installation into panels or enclosures, position the adapter into the designated cutout or adapter plate and secure it following the panel manufacturer’s instructions.

Recommendations

Regularly inspect and clean fibre endfaces with approved fibre-cleaning tools before making connections. Use the violet colour coding consistently across your installation to distinguish multi-mode paths or specific network segments, and store unused adapters in a dry, dust-free environment.
