Alimentatore AC-DC MEAN WELL MPM-10-12, 10 W, uscita 12 V, ingresso 80–264 V

MEAN WELL MPM-10-12 is an AC-DC power adapter that provides a regulated 12 V DC output at up to 0.85 A with a maximum output power of 10 W. The adapter accepts a wide AC input range from 80 to 264 V, making it suitable for global mains voltages. Designed as an encapsulated, through-hole PCB module with medical isolation (2xMOPP), this compact unit is intended for low-power industrial, embedded and medical applications where a small footprint and reliable DC supply are required.

Advantages

The MPM-10-12 delivers a stable 12 V output with short-circuit and overload protection in a lightweight package (approx. 30 g) and shallow depth (45.7 mm). Its wide input voltage range supports operation on varied mains systems without additional configuration. Encapsulated construction offers mechanical protection and improved electromagnetic compatibility. Compliance with RoHS and the presence of dual MOPP isolation make it appropriate for safety-focused designs.

Suitable for

• Low-power industrial control electronics and sensors
• Embedded systems and single-board computers requiring 12 V supply
• LED modules and signage with 12 V input
• Medical and laboratory devices needing reinforced isolation (2xMOPP)
• Compact power supply applications where PCB through-hole mounting is required

Key specifications

• Output voltage: 12 V DC
• Maximum output current: 0.85 A
• Maximum output power: 10 W
• Input voltage range: 80–264 V AC
• Construction type: encapsulated, PCB through-hole module
• Isolation: double MOPP (suitable for medical safety requirements)

How to use

Mount the MPM-10-12 on the PCB using the through-hole leads according to the manufacturer's recommended footprint and soldering guidelines. Connect the AC mains input to the specified input pins, observing correct polarity and grounding where required. Take care to respect creepage and clearance distances on the system PCB to preserve the device's isolation rating. On the DC output side, connect the load to the 12 V and ground outputs, ensuring the connected current does not exceed 0.85 A and that wiring is sized appropriately for the expected current.

Recommendations

Place the module in a ventilated area and avoid enclosing it in tight, unventilated compartments when operating near maximum load. Verify thermal conditions in your specific enclosure and provide additional cooling if necessary. Follow relevant medical and safety standards when integrating the adapter into equipment that relies on the 2xMOPP isolation. Perform in-circuit testing for output regulation and protection behavior under expected load and fault conditions.
