The design simplifies maintenance operations and helps ensure uninterrupted network operation when used with compatible EXTREME switches and chassis.

Suitable for

• Redundant power configurations in network switches and chassis
• Enterprise network closets and data center racks
• Environments requiring hot-swap serviceability and minimal downtime
• Replacing or expanding power capacity in compatible EXTREME equipment

Key specifications

• Maximum output power: 920 W
• Input type: AC power
• Hot-swap capable for live replacement
• Form factor: modular power module for compatible chassis/switches
• Intended use: redundant power supply configurations

How to use

Install the EXTREME XN-ACPWR-920W module into the designated power bay of a compatible switch or chassis following the manufacturer's physical insertion guidelines. Ensure AC mains are connected and that the host device is configured for redundant power operation if applicable. For hot-swap replacement, remove the faulty or existing module according to safe hot-swap procedures and insert the new module until it is fully seated; confirm that the host recognizes the module and that power distribution is restored. Observe any status indicators or host management interfaces to verify correct operation.

Recommendations

Use the module in environments with adequate ventilation and stable AC input within the host equipment’s specified range. For critical deployments, maintain a redundant module installed and perform replacements during low-traffic windows. Follow the host equipment manual for safe hot-swap procedures and grounding requirements.
