Arduino ABX00135 Modulino Modulo joystick

Adding analog joystick control to your Arduino projects can be tricky—wiring potentiometers, buttons, and pull-up resistors takes time and often leads to messy breadboards. The Arduino Modulino Joystick solves this by integrating a 2-axis analog joystick with a push-button on a compact, breadboard-friendly board. Just plug it into your Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or any microcontroller with a 5-pin header and start reading X, Y, and button states immediately.

Who is it for

This module is for makers, robotics enthusiasts, and game developers who need precise analog input for their projects. Whether you're building a robot controller, a custom gamepad, or an interactive installation, the Modulino Joystick provides reliable, self-centering control.

Main features

• 2-axis analog joystick with self-centering lever for smooth, precise control
• Integrated push-button activated by pressing the joystick down
• Operates on 3.3V to 5V DC, compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and other microcontrollers
• Simple 5-pin interface: VCC, GND, VRX, VRY, SW
• Compact PCB (34 x 26 mm) with standard 0.1" pitch for breadboard or PCB mounting
• Durable FR-4 PCB and plastic joystick in blue and black

Tips

Connect the module to your microcontroller's analog inputs for X and Y axes, and a digital input for the button. The joystick's resting position outputs approximately half of VCC on both axes; use the Arduino map() function to convert readings to a useful range. For breadboard use, solder header pins or use a 5-pin female-to-male jumper cable.
