It supports hot-swappable drives mounted in alphabetically labeled trays and includes a locking front panel and rear security slot for physical protection.

Advantages

ThunderBay 8 delivers high sustained transfer rates via Thunderbolt 3 and the ability to RAID together up to eight drives, making it suitable for high-bandwidth workflows. The enclosure offers large maximum capacities by daisy-chaining up to six units, straightforward drive identification with labeled trays and thumb-screw retention, and additional physical security with a locking front panel and security slot. Optional SoftRAID software adds advanced RAID configuration, drive validation, verification and failure prediction.
