Base Samsung SKK-DD

The Samsung SKK-DD pedestal is an accessory created for compatible Samsung washing machines to raise the appliance and provide extra under-drum storage. Constructed from durable molded plastic, the pedestal offers a stable platform that helps improve ergonomics by reducing the need to bend when loading and unloading laundry. Its compact footprint and neutral design allow it to fit into most laundry spaces while keeping the machine secure and accessible.

Advantages

The pedestal provides a steady and level base that increases the working height of the washing machine, improving user comfort during operation. Built from robust plastic materials, it resists everyday wear and is easy to clean. The open storage compartment beneath the washing machine creates convenient space for detergents, softeners or small laundry accessories without increasing the overall footprint of the appliance. The simple design ensures compatibility with standard laundry room layouts and facilitates installation and occasional removal for maintenance.

How to use

Position the pedestal on a flat, stable floor where the washing machine will be installed. Ensure the surface is level and free of debris. With assistance, lift the washing machine onto the pedestal so that its feet align with the pedestal platform. Verify the appliance sits securely and that the machine is level by checking and adjusting its feet if necessary. Place laundry supplies into the storage compartment under the washer as needed. Follow the washing machine manufacturer’s instructions for final positioning and connection to utilities.

Recommendations

Use the pedestal on a firm, level floor and avoid placing it on uneven or soft surfaces. Do not exceed the washing machine weight limits specified by the washer manufacturer. Regularly check that the washing machine remains level and that the pedestal and storage area are clean and dry to prevent moisture buildup.
