Cavo AOC CBO SFP28-AOC-7M 7 m lunghezza, cavo ottico attivo per porte SFP28

The AOC cable CBO SFP28-AOC-7M is an active optical cable 7 m in length designed for direct connections between devices equipped with SFP28 ports. It supports 25 Gbps data transfer rates over an optical link and is intended for short to mid-range interconnects in environments such as racks, data halls and server rooms. The cable provides a plug-and-play form factor that combines optical transceivers and a flexible cable assembly to simplify cabling and reduce susceptibility to electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers a compact, low-weight connection that maintains signal integrity at 25 Gbps while eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. Its optical transmission reduces crosstalk and EMI, and the integrated design lowers installation time and rack congestion. The 7 m length balances reach and manageability for typical data center layouts and switch-to-server or switch-to-switch links.

Suitable for

• 25 Gbps interconnects between switches and top-of-rack devices
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links within racks and across adjacent racks
• Storage network connections requiring low-latency, high-throughput links
• Environments where reduced EMI and compact cabling are required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 optical modules on both ends
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per channel
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Length: 7 metres
• Transmission medium: multimode optical link optimized for short to mid-range distances
• Form factor: single-cable twin-assembly with plug-and-play connectivity

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the latch engages. Verify link status on device LEDs or through management interfaces to confirm the 25 Gbps connection. No additional optical modules or patch cords are required. When removing the cable, press the connector latch and extract straight out to avoid stressing the port. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer to ensure optimal optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the cable within data center temperature and humidity ranges, avoid excessive mechanical stress, and ensure connectors are clean before insertion. Match SFP28 port configurations and firmware compatibility on connected devices when required; consult device documentation for supported cable/vendor interoperability notes.
