Cavo in fibra ottica CBO AOC per Alcatel-Lucent SFP-25G-A20M 25G 20m

Fiber optic cable CBO AOC for Alcatel-Lucent SFP-25G-A20M 25G 20m is an active optical cable designed to provide a pre-terminated, low-latency 25 Gigabit Ethernet link over a 20-meter distance. The cable integrates optical transceivers within the terminated ends, delivering a compact solution for direct server-to-switch or switch-to-switch connections in data centers and network cabinets. It removes the need for separate SFP modules and fiber patch cords while maintaining signal integrity for short-range high-speed networking.

Advantages

This AOC offers stable 25 Gbps throughput with reduced electromagnetic interference and minimal latency compared with copper alternatives. The pre-assembled design simplifies installation and reduces cabling points, lowering potential failure points in dense rack environments. Its length and integrated connectors are optimized for short-range links inside racks and between adjacent racks, ensuring consistent optical performance and easy replacement or upgrade.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections within the same rack or adjacent racks
• Switch-to-switch interconnects in data center topologies
• High-performance computing clusters requiring low-latency links
• Network refreshes where integrated AOC solutions reduce installation time

Key specifications

• Data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (single assembly with integrated transceivers)
• Length: 20 meters
• Connector compatibility: SFP form-factor interface compatible with 25G SFP ports
• Latency: low optical latency suitable for short-range data center links
• Environment: intended for indoor data center and rack use

How to use

Connect each end of the AOC into the SFP-compatible 25G ports on the devices to be linked, ensuring the connectors are fully seated and the latch mechanisms engage. Power up connected devices and verify link status through the switch or server management interface. No external transceivers or additional fiber patch cords are required; handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the 20 m cable within racks and cable trays avoiding sharp bends and high-traffic areas. Verify port firmware and compatibility with the Alcatel-Lucent SFP-25G-A20M interface prior to deployment. Replace the cable if connector damage or persistent link errors occur.
