Cavo ottico attivo CBO SFP-AOC-10G-1M 10G SFP+ Direct Attach, 1 m

CBO SFP-AOC-10G-1M is a 1-meter Active Optical Cable with SFP+ connectors designed to deliver 10 Gbps links for short-range high-speed interconnects. The cable connects SFP+ ports on switches, servers and NICs to provide low-latency data transmission while reducing electromagnetic interference compared to copper direct attach alternatives. Its fixed-length, hot-pluggable SFP+ modules simplify rack-to-rack and within-rack cabling in data center environments and enterprise networking setups.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable offers high data throughput up to 10 Gbps with lower power consumption and minimal signal loss over the 1 m span. Optical transmission eliminates EMI issues associated with copper cables and improves signal integrity in dense equipment racks. The SFP+ form-factor ensures compatibility with standard SFP+ ports and enables plug-and-play installation without additional transceivers or fiber connectors.

Suitable for

• Short-range connections between switches in the same rack or adjacent racks
• Server-to-switch or NIC-to-switch links requiring 10 Gbps bandwidth
• Data center rack interconnects and top-of-rack deployments
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ to SFP+ active optical cable
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Length: 1 meter
• Connector type: SFP+ hot-pluggable modules on both ends
• Transmission medium: optical fiber within an integrated cable assembly
• Typical use: short-range, high-speed interconnects in racks and server rooms

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be linked while powered on or off according to your equipment vendor guidelines. Ensure ports are SFP+ compatible and configured for 10 Gbps operation. The cable is plug-and-play in most systems; verify link status LEDs and network interface settings after insertion. Handle the cable by the connectors and avoid sharp bends to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress, maintain minimum bend radius recommended for the assembly, and keep the connector end faces clean. Use the cable for short reach applications up to 1 m and confirm compatibility with your switch or server vendor if vendor-specific enablement is required.
