Cavo ottico attivo CBO SFP28-AOC-2M lunghezza 2 m per porte SFP28, CBO SFP28-AOC-2M-F5-BO

The Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-2M is a 2-meter duplex cable engineered for direct connection of SFP28 ports. It provides a factory-terminated optical link that supports high-speed data transmission between compatible networking devices. The cable is intended for short-reach interconnects in data center environments where low latency, signal integrity and immunity to electromagnetic interference are required.

Advantages

This Active Optical Cable offers a compact, pre-terminated solution that eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, simplifying installation and reducing connector loss. The optical connection delivers stable high-bandwidth performance with reduced heat and power consumption compared with some copper alternatives. The 2 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or server-to-switch connections while maintaining short-reach signal characteristics and minimal latency.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in data centers
• Switch-to-switch interconnects within racks or adjacent racks
• High-density networking deployments requiring low EMI
• Short-reach links where compact, pre-terminated cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 direct-attach optical connectors compatible with SFP28 ports
• Length: 2 meters duplex optical cable
• Media: Active optical fiber with factory-terminated ends
• Data rate: Designed for 25 Gbps class SFP28 interfaces (per lane typical application)
• Form factor: Low-profile direct-attach cable for high-density port layouts
• Electrical characteristics: Optical transmission eliminates electromagnetic interference and reduces crosstalk

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the networking devices until the latch clicks into place. Ensure both devices are powered and configured to use the SFP28 interface. No separate transceivers or fiber termination are required. For initial diagnostics, check link LEDs and device interface statistics to confirm a stable link and the expected data rate.

Recommendations

Position the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Use appropriate cable management in racks to prevent stress on the connectors. Verify firmware and driver compatibility on networking equipment to ensure full support for SFP28 AOC modules and confirm that the devices are configured for the expected link speed and duplex settings.
