Cavo ottico attivo InfiniBand CBO QSFP-AOC-10M-QN-BO — QSFP su QSFP, 10 m

The Active Optical InfiniBand Cable CBO QSFP-AOC-10M-QN-BO is a 10-metre QSFP-to-QSFP active optical cable engineered for high-speed interconnects in data centres and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This AOC integrates optical transceivers into the cable assembly, eliminating the need for separate plug-in modules and enabling reliable signal transmission over a multi‑metre link while maintaining low latency and reduced power consumption compared with copper alternatives.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers stable optical signal integrity across a 10 m reach, supports QSFP form-factor connectivity and reduces airflow and power requirements in rack environments by removing external transceivers. The integrated design simplifies installation, lowers interconnect complexity and helps maintain predictable performance in dense topologies where consistent link quality is required.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in data centres
• Switch-to-switch uplinks in leaf-spine network fabrics
• High-performance computing clusters requiring InfiniBand links
• Systems where reduced power draw and rack airflow optimization are priorities

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP to QSFP
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Length: 10 metres
• Intended use: High-speed InfiniBand interconnects for data centre and HPC applications
• Signal medium: Optical fibre (multimode optical paths within AOC assembly)

How to use

Install the QSFP-AOC-10M-QN-BO by inserting each QSFP connector into the appropriate QSFP port on the devices to be linked, ensuring the connector latch engages. No separate transceiver modules are required; the cable is plug-and-play with devices that support QSFP AOC connections. Verify link status on both devices after insertion and follow any host or switch firmware recommendations for port configuration. Avoid tight bends and maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radii for optical cables during routing.

Recommendations

Use this 10 m QSFP-to-QSFP active optical cable for short to medium intra-rack and inter-rack links where consistent optical performance and lower power consumption are desired. Ensure compatibility with the switch or host QSFP port specifications and handle connectors by the housing to prevent contamination; keep dust caps until ready to install.
