Bosch 2 608 601 713 Accessorio smerigliatrice angolare Platorello

The Bosch 2 608 601 713 Backing pad is designed for use with X-LOCK angle grinders and intended primarily for rough grit sanding (P50 and rougher). With a diameter of 115 mm, an angled surface for an ergonomic grinding position, and construction from fibreglass-reinforced thermostable plastic, the backing pad provides heat resistance and reduced risk of breakage while ensuring a secure fit for sanding and polishing discs.

Advantages

The angled surface enables a comfortable working position when sanding aggressive grit sizes. Thermostable, fibreglass-reinforced plastic resists high temperatures and mechanical stresses, increasing service life under heavy use. The X-LOCK keyless interface allows quick and tool-free changing of backing pads, simplifying workflow on the jobsite.

Suitable for

• Sanding with rough abrasives (P50 and rougher)
• Metal and paint surface preparation
• Strip sanding and aggressive material removal
• Use with Bosch X-LOCK angle grinders

Attach the desired sanding or polishing disc to the pad according to the disc manufacturer’s instructions. Operate the angle grinder at recommended speeds for the abrasive being used, applying steady pressure and keeping the pad flush with the work surface. After use, unlock and remove the backing pad by pressing the grinder’s X-LOCK release and rotating the accessory as required.

Recommendations

For safe and long-lasting performance, use the backing pad only with Bosch X-LOCK angle grinders and sanding discs rated for rough grit. Avoid excessive side loads and prolonged high-speed operation without cooling intervals. Inspect the pad before each use for cracks or damage and replace if any defects are found.
