Bosch GKS 185-LI 16,5 cm nero, blu, grigio 5000 giri/min

The Bosch GKS 185-LI is a cordless circular saw engineered for cutting wood with professional intent. It is powered by an 18 V battery and equipped with a brushless motor that delivers efficient energy use and sustained cutting performance. The tool accepts a 165 mm blade and reaches up to 5,000 RPM at no load, providing clean and fast crosscuts and rip cuts. With a cutting depth of 57 mm at 90° and a compact body measuring approximately 174 mm wide, 345 mm deep and 256 mm high, this model balances power and portability for on-site and workshop work.

Advantages

The brushless motor improves motor efficiency and reduces maintenance needs while extending runtime on a single battery charge. Battery operation eliminates the need for a power cord, increasing mobility for work in locations without immediate mains access. The saw’s maximum no-load speed supports accurate cutting through soft and hardwoods, and the moderate cutting depth suits sheet materials, boards and beams commonly used in construction and carpentry. The compact dimensions and relatively light handling characteristics simplify transport and setup.

Suitable for

• Crosscutting and ripping of timber and boards on-site
• Cutting plywood, MDF, chipboard and other panel materials
• Framing, carpentry and renovation tasks requiring portable cutting tools
• Making bevel cuts and repeatable straight cuts with guide accessories

Key specifications

• Power source: 18 V battery (cordless)
• Motor type: brushless
• Blade diameter: 165 mm
• Maximum no-load speed: 5,000 RPM
• Maximum cutting depth at 90°: 57 mm
• Approximate dimensions (W × D × H): 174 × 345 × 256 mm

How to use

Before use, fit an appropriate 165 mm circular saw blade rated for wood, ensure the battery is fully charged and check that all guards and adjustments move freely. Set the cutting depth to slightly greater than the material thickness, secure the workpiece, and use the saw with steady, controlled feed speed. Maintain proper body position and support the material to prevent binding. Allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the cut and release the trigger only after the blade has exited the workpiece and come to a safe stop.

Recommendations

For safest and most accurate results, use blades matched to the material type and tooth configuration appropriate for the cut. Use eye and hearing protection, and follow battery care guidelines provided by the battery manufacturer to prolong runtime and service life.
