Cambia-sesso per cavo RJ-45 ShiverPeaks BS08-01047

The ShiverPeaks BS08-01047 Cable Gender Changer RJ-45 is a compact adapter that enables simple conversion between two RJ-45 cable ends. Designed for temporary or permanent changes in cable gender, the adapter has two RJ-45 female ports in a small black housing that fits standard Ethernet cables. It provides a straightforward way to connect two cables without re-terminating connectors, supporting common network cabling needs in office and home environments.

Advantages

This RJ-45 gender changer offers a space-saving form factor and a neutral black finish suitable for rack, patch panel and desktop use. The design minimizes signal disruption by providing a direct pass-through between connectors and reduces downtime by eliminating the need for new cable terminations. It is compatible with standard 8P8C Ethernet connectors and is simple to carry and install when changes to cabling are required.

Suitable for

• Connecting two Ethernet cables with male ends to extend length
• Adapting cable gender at patch panels and switches
• Temporary network setups, testing and troubleshooting
• Home networking and small office cabling adjustments

Key specifications

• Connector type: two RJ-45 8P8C female ports
• Housing colour: black
• Form factor: compact inline adapter
• Compatibility: standard twisted-pair Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6 typical)
• Operating use: passive mechanical adapter, no power required

How to use

Insert the male RJ-45 plug of the first cable into one adapter port and the male plug of the second cable into the other port until each snaps into place. Ensure cable clips are not obstructed and that connections are fully seated. After connecting, verify network link status on the connected devices and perform a continuity or link test if required. For removal, press the connector latch and gently pull the cable straight out to avoid damage.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in low-stress installations where cable routing does not place strain on the connector. Avoid exposing the adapter to moisture, extreme temperatures, or mechanical impact. For high-performance or long-term installations, consider using a properly terminated cable of the desired length to preserve signal integrity.
