Cappuccio di protezione Harting HAN 16B-AK in plastica per connettori HAN 16B

Protective cap Harting HAN 16B-AK Plastic for HAN 16B connector is a replacement protective cover designed to fit Harting HAN 16B series rectangular industrial connectors. Manufactured from durable plastic, the cap shields contacts and the connector housing from dust, debris and light mechanical impacts when the connector is uncoupled. It is intended for use during storage, transport and temporary protection on assemblies and field installations where a simple, lightweight dust cover is required.

Advantages

The plastic construction offers chemical resistance to common industrial contaminants and provides a low-weight, low-cost protective solution. The cap matches the external shape of HAN 16B housings to ensure a secure fit, reducing the risk of foreign particles reaching contact areas. Its simple push-on design enables quick application and removal without tools, and the material tolerates normal handling and short-term outdoor exposure.

Suitable for

• Protecting unmated Harting HAN 16B connectors during storage
• Covering connectors during shipment and handling
• Temporary protection of connectors on field installations or test setups
• Use in workshops and assembly lines where dust and debris are present

Key specifications

• Material: plastic
• Designed fit: compatible with HAN 16B series rectangular connector housings
• Protection type: dust and light mechanical impact protection for unmated connectors

• Use environment: indoor industrial, transport and short-term outdoor exposure

How to use

Align the protective cap with the open face of the HAN 16B connector housing and push the cap onto the housing until it seats firmly. To remove, grasp the cap and pull it straight off the connector. Inspect the cap for cracks or deformation before reuse and replace if damaged.

Recommendations

For long-term outdoor exposure or applications requiring IP-rated protection, consider using a connector cover or sealed protective solution designed for the required ingress protection level. Store spare caps in a clean, dry location to avoid contamination prior to use.
