Cappuccio per cavi DeLOCK 66626

The DeLOCK 66626 cable boot is a metal housing for D-Sub 15 connectors that protects the connector and cable junction from dirt and mechanical damage. Made of silver-coloured metal with external dimensions approximately 37.1 mm width and 8 mm height, it provides a durable protective cover for audio/video and other D-Sub applications.

Advantages

The metal construction offers mechanical protection and improves longevity of the connector. Cable clamps and strain reliefs reduce stress on the cable and help prevent accidental disconnection or internal wire breakage. The compact silver housing fits standard D-Sub 15 connectors without significantly increasing connector size.

Suitable for

• Protecting D-Sub 15 (VGA) connectors in audio/video setups
• Cable runs where mechanical strain or contamination is a concern
• Industrial or office environments requiring robust connector protection

How to use

Disassemble the two halves of the metal housing, place the D-Sub 15 connector and cable inside so the connector pins and connector shell are aligned, then reassemble and secure the housing around the connector. Fasten the integrated cable clamp and strain relief to lock the cable in place and minimise movement at the connector junction.

Recommendations

For reliable protection, ensure the housing is properly closed and the cable clamp tightened to avoid slack. Do not force connectors; verify compatibility with your specific D-Sub 15 plug before installation.
