Caricabatterie DC-DC Victron Energy Orion-Tr ORI241236120 24V a 12V 30A isolato

The Victron Energy Orion-Tr ORI241236120 is an isolated DC-DC charger that converts a 24V input to a regulated 12V output with a maximum charging current of 30A. Designed for battery-to-battery charging and voltage stabilization, this unit provides galvanic isolation between input and output to improve safety and reduce electrical interference. The charger supports integration of starter and auxiliary battery banks in vehicles, boats, and off-grid systems, and includes controlled charging to protect battery health and ensure reliable power delivery.

Advantages

The isolated design separates input and output grounds to prevent ground loops and reduce noise, while the regulated 12V output maintains stable voltage under varying loads. With a 30A charging capability it can efficiently transfer energy between a 24V source and 12V battery bank. The compact form factor and robust construction allow installation in confined spaces typical of automotive and marine environments. Built-in protections help minimize risks associated with overcurrent, overheating, and reverse polarity.

How to use

Install the Orion-Tr unit following manufacturer guidelines for mounting orientation and secure electrical connections. Connect the 24V input to the source (alternator or battery bank) and the 12V output to the battery to be charged, observing correct polarity. Ensure appropriate cable sizes and fusing between the charger and battery banks to match the 30A charging capability. After connections are made, verify output voltage and charging current to confirm proper operation and monitor the battery until charging stabilizes.

Recommendations

Locate the charger in a dry, ventilated area away from direct heat sources and corrosive environments. Use correctly sized cables and a fuse or circuit breaker close to the battery source. Periodically inspect connections for corrosion or looseness, and follow battery manufacturer guidelines for charging settings compatible with the charger’s regulated 12V output.
