Case per SSD Akasa AK-ENU3M2-06 nero M.2

The Akasa AK-ENU3M2-06 is a black M.2 SSD enclosure that converts internal M.2 PCIe (NVMe) or M.2 SATA drives into a portable USB drive. It supports common M.2 lengths (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280) and connects via USB Type-C using USB 3.2 Gen 2 for high-speed transfers.

Advantages

USB 3.2 Gen 2 (SuperSpeed+ 10 Gbit/s) enables fast data transfer up to 10 gigabits per second. The enclosure accepts both PCIe (NVMe) and SATA M.2 SSDs in common sizes, while its aluminium body and built-in fan improve heat dissipation for stable operation. The tool-free design allows quick installation without additional tools, and the USB Type-C connector ensures broad compatibility with modern hosts.

Suitable for

• Expanding external storage for laptops and desktops
• Using internal M.2 SSDs as portable drives for file transfer and backup
• Adding fast external storage to game consoles
• Transporting large media files such as photos and videos

How to use

Open the tool-free enclosure, insert an M.2 SSD of a supported length and interface, secure it according to the enclosure's mounting position, close the enclosure, and connect to a host device via the included USB Type-C cable. The host operating system should recognise the drive; format it if necessary before first use. For NVMe drives ensure the drive is fully inserted into the M.2 slot and the connector is seated firmly.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, connect the enclosure to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port on the host. Ensure the enclosure has adequate ventilation during sustained transfers; the built-in fan helps cooling but avoid enclosing it in restricted spaces. Use the appropriate file system for your devices (exFAT for cross-platform compatibility) and safely eject the drive before unplugging.
