Case per SSD ASUS ROG Strix Arion White Edition — M.2 PCIe, USB Type-C 10 Gbit/s, per un SSD

The ASUS ROG Strix Arion White Edition is an M.2 SSD enclosure that supports PCIe NVMe drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. It connects via USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-C) to provide data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps and is compatible with a wide range of modern devices thanks to included USB-C to C and USB-C to A cables. The aluminum-alloy shell, integrated thermal pads and detachable protective holder combine to offer effective heat dissipation and physical protection while keeping installation screwdriver-free.

Advantages

The enclosure delivers high-speed external storage for M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs with USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity and plug-and-play compatibility. Its aluminum body and supplied thermal pads reduce operating temperatures to help maintain sustained transfer rates and improve drive longevity. The tool-free thumbscrew and pin design simplify SSD installation, and the package includes both USB-C to C and USB-C to A cables for broad device compatibility. A detachable protective holder with an R-hook and ASUS Aura Sync lighting provide added protection and visual integration with compatible systems.

Suitable for

• Expanding external high-speed storage with M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs
• Backing up or transferring large files between laptops, PCs and consoles
• Portable storage for photographers, content creators and gamers
• Using an M.2 SSD as an external boot or media drive

How to use

Open the enclosure, insert a compatible M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD (M key or B+M key) in the correct orientation and secure it using the thumbscrew pin system—no screwdriver required. Reapply the supplied thermal pads between the SSD and the aluminum body for improved heat dissipation, close the enclosure, and connect to a host device using either the included USB-C to C cable or the USB-C to A cable. The drive will be recognized by the host operating system; format or partition it as needed before first use.

Recommendations

Do not use SATA-based M.2 drives or unsupported controllers. The enclosure does not support SATA B-key/B+M-key drives and is not compatible with certain SSD models and controllers (for example, Micron P5 and drives with Realtek RTS5765DL/RTS5766DL controllers such as some ADATA models). For best thermal performance, ensure the thermal pads are correctly placed and avoid obstructing airflow around the aluminum case during heavy sustained transfers.
