Case per SSD DeLOCK 42634 argento M.2

The DeLOCK 42634 Silver M.2 is a compact aluminium enclosure that allows installation of a single M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD in sizes 2280, 2260, 2242 and 2230. It connects to a PC or laptop via a USB Type-C interface and supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s) for fast data transfer. The robust metal housing contributes to stable operating temperatures for the installed memory.

Advantages

The aluminium housing provides improved heat dissipation compared with plastic enclosures. Compatibility with multiple M.2 lengths (2280/2260/2242/2230) makes the enclosure versatile for different NVMe SSDs. A USB Type-C port with USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s) enables high-speed external access to the installed SSD while maintaining a compact, portable form factor.

Suitable for

• Expanding external storage for laptops and desktop PCs
• Fast data transfer and backup of NVMe SSDs
• Cloning or migrating system drives to new M.2 NVMe SSDs
• Portable access to large media files (video, photo libraries)

How to use

Open the enclosure following the manufacturer’s instructions, insert an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD of a supported length and secure it with the supplied screw. Connect the enclosure to the computer using a USB Type-C cable. The drive should be recognised by the operating system; format or assign a drive letter if necessary. For drive cloning or system migration, use appropriate software and follow software-specific instructions.

Recommendations

For sustained high-speed transfers, place the enclosure on a flat, ventilated surface to aid heat dissipation. Use a high-quality USB 3.2 Gen 2-compatible cable and connect to a matching USB port on the host to achieve the specified 10 Gbit/s throughput. Ensure the inserted SSD is an NVMe PCIe M.2 type; SATA M.2 modules are not supported unless explicitly stated by the drive manufacturer.
