Case SSD QOLTEC 50313 nero — M.2 (22×80 / 22×110) PCIe e SATA, USB Type-C (USB 2.0 / 3.2 Gen2)

The Qoltec 50313 Black M.2 PCIe SATA USB Type-C SSD enclosure is a compact housing designed to accommodate a single M.2 storage drive. Compatible with both PCI Express (NVMe) and Serial ATA (SATA) M.2 modules, this enclosure provides a simple way to convert an internal M.2 SSD into an external drive with a USB Type-C connection. The black aluminum/plastic finish offers physical protection and a portable form factor suitable for backups, data transfer, and external storage expansion.

Advantages

This enclosure supports both PCIe and SATA M.2 interfaces, allowing use with a wide range of modern M.2 SSDs. The USB Type-C connector and support for USB 2.0 through USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2) enable fast data transfer rates when paired with a compatible host. Its single-drive design keeps installation straightforward, and the compact black housing helps protect the drive from dust and minor impacts while remaining easy to carry.

Suitable for

• Expanding laptop or desktop storage by using spare M.2 SSDs as external drives
• Performing fast file transfers, backups, and system image storage
• Data migration between computers using a portable M.2 external drive
• Temporary external storage for repair, diagnostics, or cloning tasks

How to use

Open the enclosure according to the included instructions, insert a compatible M.2 SSD into the slot and secure it with the provided screw or mounting mechanism. Close the enclosure and connect it to a host computer using a USB Type-C cable. The host operating system should detect the drive as an external storage device; initialize or format the drive if necessary before first use. To remove the drive, safely eject it from the operating system and disconnect the USB cable before opening the enclosure.

Recommendations

Use a matching USB cable and a host port that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 to achieve the highest possible transfer speeds with NVMe drives. Ensure the M.2 module is compatible with either NVMe or SATA as required, and handle the SSD with anti-static precautions during installation. Keep the enclosure ventilated during extended heavy transfers to help manage drive temperature.
