Store documents flat or in protective sleeves and place electronic media in separate protective cases if available. When transporting the safe, use the built-in handle and ensure the key lock is engaged to prevent accidental opening.

Recommendations

For best protection, store paper documents in plastic sleeves and digital media in rigid protective cases before placing them in the safe. Verify the key location and test the lock periodically. In flood-prone locations, elevate the safe above expected water levels and avoid prolonged submersion despite the chest's 72-hour water resistance rating.
