Cassetta per tagli a 45° STANLEY 1-19-191 legno 300 mm per angoli a 45° e 90°

The STANLEY wooden mitre box 300 mm for 45° and 90° angles is a manual cutting guide designed to help make accurate mitre and straight cuts in wood and wood-like materials. The compact, open-sided wooden tray holds the workpiece steady while guiding a handsaw along preformed angled slots. Its simple construction prioritizes ease of use and repeatability for small carpentry, trim and DIY tasks where controlled, consistent cuts are required.

Advantages

The wooden mitre box offers reliable guidance for hand sawing without the need for power tools, reducing setup time and allowing use at varying job sites. The pre-cut angled slots for 45° and 90° deliver consistent angle control and help maintain cut accuracy across multiple pieces. The 300 mm length accommodates common mouldings and narrow boards while the solid wooden body provides stable clamping and resistance to movement during sawing. The design is lightweight and portable, enabling straightforward storage and transport.

How to use

Place the mitre box on a stable work surface and position the workpiece inside the tray with the cut line aligned to the appropriate 45° or 90° slot. Secure the workpiece by hand or with a clamp to prevent movement, ensuring the board sits flush against the side walls. Insert a handsaw into the selected guide slot and draw smooth, controlled strokes while maintaining steady pressure and straight alignment. After completing the cut, remove the piece and check the angle and fit; repeat the procedure for subsequent pieces to maintain consistent results.

Recommendations

For best results use a sharp, medium-tooth handsaw matched to the material thickness, and clamp the mitre box or workpiece where possible to reduce vibration. Periodically inspect the guide slots for wear and clean out sawdust to preserve cutting accuracy. Avoid forcing the saw; let the blade do the work to maintain straight, precise cuts.
